Books By My Bed

In an effort to read auto-biographies by strong, powerful, women in the media who are willing to divulge their own vulnerable narratives with the added bonus of a hook to keep me turnin’ pages, I present my current reading list:

Just finished

Tera Patrick, Porn Star and CEO of her own company shares what it was like for a young hippie half Asian girl who gets into porn, marries an asshole, and learns how to get out of her studio deals to fully own and operate her image and EVERY MOVIE/PRODUCT/APPEARANCE that goes with it. Cha-Motherf*ck-Ching.

And now onto:

Ivanka Trump, Model, Daddy’s Girl and Something about Real Estate shares how she got over the haterade everyone serves up upon knowing who her family is and mostly how she doesn’t give a f*ck. I mean, I just started reading, I don’t really know what else she’s got goin on. Pretty sure these books will have some surprising parallels, and somehow I feel like my own book (if dear god, anyone every paid me to write one) would be the love child of these two.

VANCOUVER SUN: Body found in park believed to be Andrew Koenig →

inothernews:

Sad.

Police believe a body found at noon today in Stanley Park is that of missing actor Andrew Koenig.

Koenig, 41, played the character Richard (Boner) Stabone in the 1980s TV series Growing Pains. The actor, who has a long history of depression, was visiting Vancouver and was last seen by friends on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

His father, Walter, who played the character Chekhov on the original Star Trek series, had appealed to the public to help find his son.

An earlier search of Stanley Park, a favourite place of Andrew’s since he lived here for about three years in the early ’90s, had failed to find any trace of him.

Koenig lived in Vancouver from about 1989 to 1992 after he finished his work on Growing Pains.

Koenig was last seen on Feb. 14 at a bakery near Stanley Park. He arrived in the city on Feb. 10 to visit friends and was scheduled to return to his Venice, Calif. home on Feb. 16, but never boarded the return flight. Vancouver police were notified of his disappearance on Feb. 18. The last time Koenig’s phone was active was on Feb. 16.
